The Barber Shop of Nashua

A wonderful slice of life…

Sitting here in the barber shop on Main Street, Nashua, New Hampshire. It is February, 2008. Snow is falling, cold and uncaring. Inside, behind the front door, it’s different. Sadness, hurt feelings, death. My longtime mentor – Rino Long – the man who taught me my trade, died the previous day.

I worked side by side with him for 11 years. The shop seems empty now.

Fifty years of life has come and gone through this door.
