When you take care of a loved one with late stage Alzheimers, your gratitude meter goes sky high, honey.
This is the chair that many of us could be sitting in one day. Our life will not be over, but our choices will be made for us. Some of us will even be robbed of our precious memories.
Enjoy life, cherish the moments, take pictures, pull out the barbecue, go down the waterslide, skip the quick shower and take a long, hot bath.
Use the sunflower china. Play outside, no matter how old you are because outside will turn you back into a kid. Buy yourself a kiddie pool. Buy the pink cowgirl boots. (I did!)
One day you could be the one sitting in a chair just like this, looking at a book full of memories and you can only remember the first two pages.
This beautiful lady is my 95 year-old mother-in-law/mom, Dot.
