Unfortunately those particular little creatures can destroy a beautiful rose bush in one day. It may be a big world for them, but they are well fed during their short lives.
Yes, I had caterpillars take down a beautiful vine that was covered with exotic blooms, Dutchman’s Pipe, in about two days. I am always torn between nature and nurture with my flowers. I use organic or soap sprays and only when the plant is extremely important to me. My Passion Flowers are a butterfly farm and the vines seem able to handle it and keep blooming endlessly.
