Seashells and Shadows

CIMG2024
A shadow of herself
is all that remains
just a glimmer
of the woman
who she
coulda
woulda
shoulda
been.
A shadow of herself
walks on the shore
collecting seashells
seashells
she doesn’t
want
to collect
to touch
to hold
anymore.

      1. Both the photo and poem are lovely. I particularly like the contrast between the delicate colors of the shells and the aluminum foil pan. A gentle reminder of what human efforts produce as compared to the majesty that God offers.
