WOW

This mother and child both born on Friday,
Loving and giving in their unique ways
Mother taught child the gift of fragile wings
Daughter taught mother kindness always wins
Mother gave the child inner strength to endure
When hope was waning, a cloudy future unsure
And the inner child in the grown woman now
Remembers her mother’s words whispered long ago
When the roses hang heavy on trailing boughs
And their fragrance wafts on fresh summer wind
Think of me with sweet remembrance my darling
And I will be here in our garden again
